The idea behind this was simple. To turn a stark white hallway into an inner city graffiti laneway. Gritty. Messy. Street. Melbourne. Iconic. Not to be confused with a mural.
It was a process of layering. We used posters, stickers, stencils, tags and pieces to cover every square metre of wall.
The layering is designed not only add texture and depth but also to give the space a feeling of accumulated time. That it has not been created in a moment but as the result of years of exposure.
Shout out to @sybe_kwa & @aerosolsilence for making this possible! We managed to cover 40 metres of wall, top to bottom, in 8 hours.
